Shane Easton's Blood and Gore
from the Black Stump Ride February 2009

At the Black Stump ride this year, Shane Easton was coming around the corner on Rata Ridge, brakes on hard but couldn't slow down and went over the bank into the bushes. He got up and saw the cuts on his leg, got back on the bike and kept riding. It wasn't until he was at the bottom of the hill the pain hit! He was taken to hospital by ambulance and got 13 stitches in his right leg. After 3 days the wounds got infected as the photos show. Stitches came out and the wounds opened up again. Photos show a gouge on the right ankle, looks as though the front chainring has cut it open, and at the top of his right leg, where he isn't even sure what caused the gouge, but suspects it was the chainring also.

These are heavily cropped miniatures -
