One of the objectives of our club is to act as a voice for local mountain bikers on issues such as land access and new trail development. We can make a real difference in these areas by being involved in the planning process by which local authorities consult with the community and decide how land, recreation opportunities and amenities are managed.

- There are not enough opportunities for mountain biking in the Waikato on conservation land.
- DOC should investigate developing multiuser trails whenever considering track upgrades or new trails.
- Mountain biking access in Pureora forest should be protected.
- MTBNZ/local clubs should be involved in development of the upcoming recreational strategy for the Waikato area.
